ESTMA Reports
The Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) legislation was enacted by the Canadian government on December 16, 2014 and was brought into force on June 1, 2015. The Act requires companies in the business of commercial development of crude oil, natural gas and minerals, such as Lynx Energy, to publicly disclose, on an annual basis, specific payments made to all governments in Canada and abroad.
The ESTMA legislation is administered by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), and additional information on ESTMA can be found on NRCan’s website (nrcan.gc.ca).

Lynx Energy respects and follows the reporting requirements of Natural Resources Canada’s Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) and the Government of Canada Bill S-211 Modern Slavery Act.
Modern Slavery Act
Bill S-211 came into force on January 1, 2024. The act stipulates that any government institution producing, purchasing and distributing goods in Canada or elsewhere must, on or before May 31 of each year, make a report publicly available on its measures to reduce forced and child labour. The purpose of Bill S-211 is to reduce the use of forced and child labour in supply chains be increasing transparency in those supply chains.
